Trailer:: ON SAFARI -rocklands south africa bouldering -
Finally...Matt has put together some of the South Africa footage. We're sitting on about 15 hours of footage, but it's taken a while to set up a workstation. We just posted a trailer for the video on YouTube. If you click through on the video, it will take you to the YouTube site, and then you can click on "view in high quality" for a bit sharper imaging. We don't have any plans to press the movie into DVDs once it's made... it will just be hosted on the web. Matt's hoping to put it all together sometime this summer.

ICE POND BOULDERING | vid
We wanted to play with our new camera, so here is some footage from Ice Pond. Shot by Matt, Whit, and Jose. Music by M.I.A.
New Home | New "Local" Bouldering

Last month we moved out of the city and into Tarrytown in Westchester Co. We are so much closer to the Gunks and also a small area called Ice Pond. We won't spew too much about Ice Pond, as the access is sensitive and parking very limited. We've been out there once a week for the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it'll be overgrown soon. Some pics from our new point and shoot Lumix FS5-

THE NORTH FACE ENDURANCE CHALLENGE:: BEAR MOUNTAIN, NY

This weekend we supported The North Face's Endurance Challenge by heading up to its first event of the year at Bear Mountain, NY. There are five events this year and each one has a 50 mile, 50k, half-marathon, and 10k race. We were initially going to head up there to hang out at the TNF booth, but Matt was given a race number the night before the event. Having run only a couple of times in the last year, he just wanted to experience the event through the 10K. It had rained heavily the night before and course was treacherous--very muddy with wet leaves covering slick rocks. As if the course wasn't hard enough to start with--1200+ foot climb for the first half of the race, followed by a steep 600ft descent in a quarter of a mile. If Matt had enough time to prepare, he would have gotten some 5.10 Marvel or Genius trail running shoes with STEALTH rubber--his footwear was inadequate for the slick terrain. Matt finished, vowing to never run again, but we're already talking about heading to the Washington, DC race in September!

ELECTRIC VISUAL

.jpg)
Just wanted to give a shout-out to Electic Visual, a really dope sunglasses and goggle company out of So Cal. We've been rocking their shades since our South Africa trip and they have been really supportive in keeping the sun out of our eyes. Their image is really dope and their accessories (tees, hoodies, fitted caps, beanies, belts, etc) are in the same category. Our boy Lou Abbodante has been an awesome hookup and special thanks to Visual honcho Kip. Check out the goods at www.electricvisual.com.
